To mark the Chopin Year, the publishing house Media Rodzina, in collaboration with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warsaw, is presenting a unique audio book titled “Muzyka Pana Chopina” (Mr Chopin’s Music).
The audio book is based on works by Wanda Chotomska, an esteemed Polish author of poems and short stories for children and teenage readers. It revolves around the composer’s young days – his parents, the Żelazowa Wola manor house, his growing up in Warsaw, and the quick bloom of his music talent, presenting the little artist among his friends.
Being an audio book, “Muzyka Pana Chopina” is also an excellent way of discovering Chopin’s most famous compositions, which are smoothly intertwined with the narration. Among others, the recording features Polonaise in A major, fragments of Piano Concerto in F minor and E minor, and, naturally, the Revolutionary Etude.
The project was recorded in Polish Radio’s studio and stars well-known Polish actors: Zbigniew Zamachowski, Agnieszka Warchulska and Maria Robaszkiewicz-Kowarska.
